So, hello to our new (official) Admin!! Hopefully we will see posts from you once in awhile, just to keep us in line, I suppose or just a friendly hello now and then? Btw, are there any clues as to the theme of this techno-thriller due in 2010? Will it be about the environment, as Michael said in the Dennis Miller radio interview?

Yes, dear KickUp, and I want to add a question to new Admin... With all my respect to the memory of Michael, is it not time to open the thread about "State of Fear" for discussion? It is my favorite book from last novels of MC and when I joined to our site it was closed already... I think now discussion of this book between members of this site can not hurt Michael memory... Is it close on forever? I don't like that dicussion of this book is possible on different sites but not here between real MC fans....

I was just reading though some of the old (locked) threads on State of Fear and I realize just how valuable some of the posts were with all the links and information they provided. And I appreciated hearing all the different points of view on the subjects of GW and CC. I second the request to open SoF again for discussion. The silence around here is deafening.

Perhaps it would be interesting to know why the thread was closed. Perhaps it was not just 'hurt feelings" from the author but the fact that many people used the book to vent their own thoughts on global warning.
If I'm correct Oleg, you like the book so much because it so accurately describes the situation many countries in the world are in; when governments use political issues to supress their peoples by fear. Hence the title "State of Fear"

I agree, I do so much hope that the State of Fear forum is reopened. It is one of my favorites and I'm sure we'd all like to share our feelings, appreciations and opinions on the book and its contents in a clean and respectful manner. (I appologize for the off-topic comment, though I'm not sure where else I could put it at the moment.) -Joe-

Hence the title "State of Fear" Yes, dear Ingrid, you are so right! And now from my new situation in my country which again return to the times of "cold war" I can say much new about this novel where Michael play role of Mankind centinel and give warnings about trends which realised step by step.
